Alerce were engaged by LaSalle Investments to undertake an upgrade to the foyer of Central Square in Haymarket. To ensure the building stayed operational most works were completed through the night and weekends, the project was completed in six stages that allowed the building to operate with no access issues and all tenants had unimpeded access to all facilities.

The mesh grid ceiling and feature columns with seamless x-bond finish to the perimeter are specific elements of the new lobby that we worked very closely with the designer to ensure captured the look and feel that was intended. With a number of changes in design along the way due some latent conditions, a very consultative approach was required to ensure a successful delivery was achieved.

Included in the new foyer was the construction of an island kiosk café with a new fitout for food service. All finishes were supplied and installed in line with all necessary food service requirements with a very satisfied tenant taking possession at handover to commence operating their new business servicing the tenants and local community.
